ESI OpenCFD is pleased to announce the dates for the 8th Annual OpenFOAM Conference. This event gives a unique opportunity to interact with users and developers across the community, and to participate in the current and future governance of OpenFOAM. This is the primary OpenFOAM event in all areas of CFD applications and process integration; useful for CFD engineers, managers, IT specialists, developers, consultants, researchers, students, and those seeking continuing professional development.

In the hope that global travel restrictions will be lifted well before October, we continue to prepare for this event as normal. Watch this space for "Call for Papers" to be announced in April, and the timetable for registrations and programme details. Stay safe, look after yourselves and families and look out for your neighbours!

Call for papers:

Abstracts on the modelling and applications using OpenFOAM® in the following areas:

• Turbulence,

• Multiphase (including VoF Eulerian Lagrangian and Particle physics),

• Transportation including Aerospace,

• Ground Transportation and Marine,

• Numerics, Meshing,

• HPC/Architectures,

• API and Infrastructural,

• Documentation and Tutorial learning,

• Optimisation,

• Electrification,

• Combustion and Heat transfer

Submit Paper/Abstract:

• For industries and consultants, please complete the abstract template and send it to openfoam2020@esi-group.com before June 15, 2020.

• For students and academics, please complete the student abstract template and send it to openfoam2020@esi-group.com before May 31, 2020. All student and academic research papers are eligible for the Academic Best Paper award. As in previous years, for this popular competition, ESI is pleased to fund the winner's travel and accommodation costs.

• Please note that the conference fee will be waived for all approved speakers.

Workshops:

After the 2nd conference day, we offer several hands-on workshops. Learn more about Application Best-Practices, Optimization or OpenFOAM made-easy. The workshops are delivered by ESI OpenCFD and invited staff who have several years of experience at the sharp end of development and application, and in teaching fundamentals and higher-end practices.
