India Rankings-2016, National Institutional Ranking Framework, MHRD
The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) was approved by the MHRD and launched by Honorable Minister of Human Resource Development on 29th September 2015.
Parameters for Ranking of Institutions:
The parameters broadly cover “Teaching, Learning and Resources,” “Research and Professional Practices,” “Graduation Outcomes,” “Outreach and Inclusivity,” and “Perception” for ranking.
Ranking Methodology:
Source of data: Individual Institutions who registered for ranking are requested to submit the relevant data online by filling online and offline with Data Submission Utility.
Publications, Citations and Collaboration: The databases of Web os Science, Scoupus and Indian Citation Index were used to get the relevant data of registered Institutions.
Perception: Getting the feedback of Identified peer groups and General Public through NIRF Portal.
Data mining and Verification: The Implementation Core Committee examines the data submitted by Institutions minutely and confirms the genuineness of the data.
