SATISH DHAWAN SPACE CENTRE SHAR (SDSC SHAR) invites applications for the posts of Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ from the following engineering disciplines through online:

Chemical Engineering: B.E/B. Tech or equivalent in Chemical Engineering in First class with an aggregate minimum of 65% of marks (Average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10 point scale. Minimum 65% marks or CGPA 6.84 in Section B alone for candidates with AMIE/Grad IETE qualification.

 

Chemical Engineering: M.E/M.Tech or equivalent post graduate degree in Chemical Engineering in First class with an aggregate minimum of 60% or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10 point scale with pre-eligibility qualification of B.E/ B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Chemical Engineering in First class with an aggregate minimum of 65% of marks (Average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10 point scale. Minimum 65% marks or CGPA 6.84 in Section B alone for candidates with AMIE/Grad IETE qualification.

 

Industrial Engineering: M.E/M.Tech or equivalent post graduate degree in Industrial Engineering in First class with an aggregate minimum of 60% or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10 point scale with pre-eligibility qualification of B.E/ B. Tech or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering/Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Civil Engineering /Chemical Engineering in First class with an aggregate minimum of 65% of marks (Average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10 point scale. Minimum 65% marks or CGPA 6.84 in Section B alone for candidates with AMIE/Grad IETE qualification.

 

Power Systems: M.E/M.Tech or equivalent post graduate degree in Power Systems in First class with an aggregate minimum of 60% or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10 point scale with pre-eligibility qualification of B.E/ B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Electrical & Electronics Engineering in First class with an aggregate minimum of 65% of marks (Average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10 point scale. Minimum 65% marks or CGPA 6.84 in Section B alone for candidates with AMIE/Grad IETE qualification.

 

Industrial Safety: M.E/M.Tech or equivalent post graduate degree in Industrial Safety in First class with an aggregate minimum of 60% or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10 point scale with pre-eligibility qualification of B.E/ B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering/ Production Engineering/ Chemical Engineering in First class with an aggregate minimum of 65% of marks (Average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10 point scale. Minimum 65% marks or CGPA 6.84 in Section B alone for candidates with AMIE/Grad IETE qualification.

 

Machine Design/ Engineering Design: M.E/M.Tech or equivalent post graduate degree in Machine Design/Engineering Design in First class with an aggregate minimum of 60% or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10 point scale with preeligibility qualification of B.E/ B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering in First class with an aggregate minimum of 65% of marks (Average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10 point scale. Minimum 65% marks or CGPA 6.84 in Section B alone for candidates with AMIE/Grad IETE qualification.

 

Structural Engineering: M.E/M.Tech or equivalent post graduate degree in Structural Engineering in First class with an aggregate minimum of 60% or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10 point scale with pre-eligibility qualification of B.E/ B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering in First class with an aggregate minimum of 65% of marks (Average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10 point scale. Minimum 65% marks or CGPA 6.84 in Section B alone for candidates with AMIE/Grad IETE qualification.

  • Interested and eligible candidates may visit our website at https://www.shar.gov.in (or) https://www.apps.shar.gov.in to register their applications on-line between 28.12.2019 (1000 hours) and 17.01.2020 (1700 hours).  You can also click on the Apply button below to register online.

 

Application Fee:

  • There will be a non-refundable Application Fee of `100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) for each application (Except: All Women/Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD)).

 

Selection Procedure:

  • Candidates who meet eligibility criteria will be short-listed to appearfor the Written Test, which will be conducted at Chennai.

  • Written Test consists of objective type questions based on academic curriculum of B.E/B.Tech (or) M.E/M.Tech as the case may be.

  • Based on the performance in the Written Test, candidates will be shortlisted for interview.

  • The final selection will be based on the performance of the candidates in the interview only.

  • Closing Date for On-line Registration: 17.01.2020 (1700Hours)
